Build a “List” of loyal customers who come to trust and appreciate you. This is a brilliant way to turn “window shoppers” into repeat customers. This is only effective if you have a website...
No matter how great the advertising you employ is, there is inevitably a small number of people that wont decide to buy from you. They will visit your business, look around, leave to look at other places and then end up buying from another vendor. The reason building a “List” is so good is because it gives you the opportunity to stay in contact with those who visit your website, using an automated system that we will prepare for you. This - if done properly - creates a sense of trust with those you are in contact with and leads them to believe that they can buy from you safely. This is a great long-term customer loyalty building tool.
So, what is a List anyway?
In this context a List simply refers to those that have agreed to be contacted by you. If there were 300 people on your List then there would be 300 people who had agreed to be contacted by you. You can contact these people on your "List" as often as you like without being accused of spamming.
How is the List contacted?
The service we provide is based on email communication. This is best if you want to automate the process. It is also less intrusive for the receiver of your messages - you don’t want to irritate anyone!
What should be included in the messages sent to the List?
It’s very important that you do not simply send email after email of offer after offer. This is not the approach to take if you want long term loyalty from a customer. The idea is to send interesting, helpful and informative information and every now and then put in an offer that relates to the messages you have sent.
You could for example send a message that talks about a common problem that people have and then subtly inform the readers that your products/service will be able to help them remedy the problem. Some of the emails however should simply include really great info in them without the inclusion of any products to buy. This may seem counter-productive but when you give really great stuff away for free people tend to look on you with a favourable eye. This means that those receiving your emails will voluntarily choose to buy from you and will likely tell their friends/family about the wonderful and trustworthy service that you have. And since the stuff you will be giving doesn’t cost any money to produce, you don’t hurt your profits.
You can also offer those on your List exclusive discounts or offers that no one else gets to have. There are perhaps limitless things that could be included in your messages; the idea is to make those on your List feel special and appreciated.
How to properly write the messages sent to the List?
Each email you send should be no more than 300 to 400 words long. You’re not trying to write a masterpiece, you just want to get the message across in a friendly yet professional manner. Ideally you should provide us with the content you want to be sent to your list. After all, who knows your business better than you. If you don’t have the time or resources to write the messages out in full then you have the option of providing us with the draft versions of your messages. We will then use our professional staff to formalise them and edit them; this is another extra that we offer.
Its up to you how many messages you write. It is our professional opinion that you should send anywhere from 10 to 20 email messages to your list members. These will be sent out over several weeks.
